About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced cyber and professional liability underwriter to join our team on the next phase of our expansion in Quebec.

Reporting to Head of North American Cyber & Technology Underwriting you will build out the underwriting function for the Quebec province to establish BOXX’s presence, growth, and underwriting success in this key market.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Risk selection, analysis and service of accounts based on BOXXs underwriting strategy.

  • Identify opportunities for growth through effective pipelining and pre-qualification.

  • Implement effective pricing and underwriting strategies for profitable growth.

  • Build, maintain and manage successful producer relationships with broker partners.

  • Work in a collaborative, team environment with other Underwriters, Underwriter Associates, Claim Representatives and Executives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional liability underwriting, or at least 2 years of direct cyber insurance underwriting experience.

  • Deep understanding of the Quebec cyber insurance marketplace and trends.

  • Aptitude to attract and retain profitable business.

  • Sales and marketing skills; must be able to demonstrate successful broker management, including building, maintaining and managing producer and brokerage relationships.

  • Strong track record of service orientation and teamwork.

  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Experience working within a delegated underwriting framework is an asset.

  • Self-starter: You thrive on a challenge and your self-motivation is fuelled by your goal orientated mindset.

  • Results-driven mindset: Possess an unwavering passion for driving sales growth, exceeding targets, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

  • Master communicator: Excel in communication and a keen attention to detail.

  • 4-year college degree preferred; professional designations preferred.
