Requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, and revision of insurance policy wordings, endorsements, and other documentation.
• Ensure all products comply with state and federal regulations, staying current on relevant developments in this regard.
• Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure clarity and accuracy in policy language.
• Analyze and interpret changes in case law and regulations affecting insurance wordings, particularly in the cyber and E&O lines.
• Conduct ongoing market research to benchmark policy language against competitors and industry standards.
• Provide training and support to internal teams on policy wording and related issues.
• Provide inhouse coverage analysis on claims.
• Stay informed about emerging risks and trends in specialty insurance to continuously improve our offerings.
• Provide public speaking and training sessions to our broker partners on product offerings.
• Support underwriting team with coverage guidance, wording comparisons, and competitive intelligence.
• Cultivate relationships with insurance brokers and partners to ensure BOXX’s position as a cybersecurity and insurance thought leader.

Skills & Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
• 5-10 years of experience with a specialty insurer, with a focus on cyber and other financial lines insurance.
• Knowledge of the corresponding Canadian insurance space is also an asset.
• Strong understanding of US insurance law, regulations, and industry practices.
• Exceptional drafting and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
