About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and global cyber insurance company with an exciting and significant growth trajectory. This role will report directly to the CFO.
The position is ideal for an individual seeking a role that combines technical accounting acumen, operational excellence and process improvement, supported by technology. As a Junior accountant, you will own various accounting processes for the entire group.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Broker bill/insurance premium management and collection (Accounts Receivable)
- Expense management from employees/contractors
- Reconciliation and management of corporate credit card spend
- Responsible for reflection of supplier invoices onto ERP (Accounts Payable)
- Assist in preparation and effectiveness of annual audit
- Implement best practice accounting policy, processes and controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records
- Assistance/support for monthly financials such as accruals, prepayment schedules, etc.
- Ad hoc items to support evolving business needs as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- You have completed your undergraduate degree or diploma and the necessary CPA pre-requisites, and are working towards designation
- Being a self-starter and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
- 1+ years of experience with owning AR/AP processes
- Experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset
- Experience in tax filings, HST filings, etc. is considered a bonus
- Relevant undergraduate University degree in accounting, finance and/or business
- Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP/software implementations are assets (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central)
